Accessibility and ADA Parking
Recognizing the diverse needs of our community, UCI Transportation evaluates our parking facilities to implement the guidelines set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). By doing so, we ensure that accessible parking options are situated near accessible pathways to allow for seamless and barrier-free access to campus buildings. Explore our interactive map for information regarding ADA parking stall locations and their accessible routes to nearby building entrances.
To maintain the availability of accessible parking for those who need it most, UCI Transportation enforces parking regulations, with strict monitoring and penalties for unauthorized parking in ADA spaces. Please be sure to have your DMV-issued Disabled Person (DP) placard/license plate visible when parking on campus.
Patrons in need of a disability placard may submit an Application for Disabled Person Placard or Plates through the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Website.
Those with a need for access to ADA parking stalls on the UCI campus may submit the Application for Disabled Person Placard or Plates with a doctor’s signature in Sections 6 and 6A to the UCI Parking Office.Â
Please note a valid and active UCI Permit is required at all times while parking on campus.
For information on how to obtain state-issued ADA credentials visit the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
