About Citation Review / Contesting a Citation
Q: What is the citation review process?
A: Refer to the Citation Review Process Flowchart.
Q: Why do I have to fill out a form? Why can’t I just talk to you?
A: We need to keep a physical record of all citations that are reviewed.
Q: I already asked for a citation review this year. Can I request a review for a different citation?
A: Yes, you can submit a review request for every citation received.
Q: I have multiple citations I want to contest online. Can I put it all in one review?
A: No, you may only contest one citation per online submission.
Q: How do I know if my online review went through?
A: When you submit a first level review online, a confirmation will appear on the screen. In addition, a confirmation email will be sent to the address submitted on the form.
Q: Do I have to pay my citation while I’m waiting for a decision on my request?
A: No. The processing of the citation is suspended until a decision has been made. If your request for cancellation is denied, our response will advise you of a new payment due date.
